Calling all animal lovers and their four-legged friends, Houston is home to a new destination for dogs. Katy’s Cinco Ranch’s LaCenterra is welcoming PUCCI Café & Pet Shop this november.
The concept started with Maria and Bobby Davidson love for the duo’s multiple rescued dogs, and after making several trips to Europe, where pet-friendly cafes are common, the Davidsons were inspired to finally create their own. “Dog cafes in Europe are just part of their way of life. It seemed like an obvious need for animal lovers in our community,” they said in a press release. “We wanted a luxurious, upscale, late open space where you can spend time with your dog. After a long day at work, our dogs sometimes end up being an afterthought, and we want to change that.”
The interiors of the cafe were carefully designed by Houston Gin Design Group, using textures rich in layers of lighting and greenery, giving it an upscale environment and going back to its European-inspired roots.
As for the gourmet offerings, the cafe has dog treats from their premium dog bakery as well as high quality third wave coffees, teas, pastries, charcuterie boards, wine, champagne. and specialty beer for the owners. All of these delicious offers are complemented by an enjoyable evening of listening to live entertainment on the café’s 2,000 square foot patio. The outdoor area also includes a fenced dog park so that your pooch can roam freely. To top it off, PUCCI donates part of all its profits to dog rescues in the community.
The Pet Shop and Cafe are committed to providing dog spa products that are free of genetically modified organisms and harsh chemicals. And for spoiled rotten pets, the store offers luxury dog accessories imported from countries around the world, such as glitter collars, pet jewelry, exclusive dog carriers and premium clothing.
“We are delighted to bring this unique destination to the region so that people can relax and spend time with their dogs, ”said Maria.
